I loved being completely immersed into a different country's culture, and being able to choose how to spend my time. This really gave me the ability to figure out what I like and what I'm good at. It also helped me expand my bubble and see beyond the small circle in which I was raised.

Social Justice Intern
June - August 2019 • Haifa, Haifa District
What I liked
It was eye-opening, educational, and stretched me out of my comfort zone and exposed me to new perspectives.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had a better understanding of Israeli work culture and what to expect
Advice
When I showed up, it was not what I expected it to be. Instead of checking out like a lot of my peers, I took initiative, worked extra hard, and made the most of my internship anyway.
