One Acre Fund

Field Operations Intern

June - August 2017 • Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam Region

What I liked

-The internship was paid and they paid for my travel to and from Tanzania -The internship gave me the autonomy and freedom to head my own projects, while also providing me with the proper guidance when needed

What I wish was different

-The internship was more organized and kept in contact with me throughout the entire application process and predeparture orientation. The application process was incredibly stressful and although it was definitely worth it in the end, one way in which I would love to see the organization improve on is communication!

-To be curious and never worry about asking too many questions. One thing I wish I had done as an intern was to take more initiative and to not be afraid of failure.
