This internship provided me with an insightful look at what actually goes on at the hill. I attended various meetings and briefings that were eye-opening. You're constantly on the move and meeting new people, which what I was hoping for. I'm a people person and like to meet people everywhere. This internship gave me that experience and I'm grateful for it.
What I wish was different
I wish I attended more briefings. The briefings were in deptht and incredibly informative. Those briefings gave insight to all legislation being propopsed to give the congressman a better understanding of what they are voting for.
Advice
Connections, connections, connections. I can't express how important it's to meet as many people as you can while being in an internship. You never know who will be your next employer until you meet them.
