I had a great experience participating in Oceanview's Private Equity Associate Intern program.
Throughout my internship, I worked exclusively on live deals, with the opportunity to quarterback my own M&A transaction. I prepared external presentations, interfaced with clients and private equity firms, and received valuable mentorship from the firm's Founder.
The firm has strong deal flow, spanning a variety of transaction types (sell-side M&A, debt advisory, etc), which helps selected candidates to gain broad transaction exposure over a short period of time.
Although the position was advertised as a summer internship, I was fortunate to receive and accept a full-time offer that was made at the end of the summer. The firm doesn't openly advertise full-time positions, but will selectively extend full-time offers depending on performance and transaction volume.
I highly recommend the internship for students who are interested in a career in private equity, investment banking, or transaction advisory services.
