Assistant researcher
June 2015 - August 2017 • New York, NY
What I liked
Throughout this experience, I was able to work with different students and different professionals in the subject of biochemical engineering. I was given a mentor pursuing her PhD and was given the opportunity to learn about her research and ultimately assist her in the tasks. I was given thorough training about safety, how to utilize every equipment, how to make crucial solutions and chemicals, and was taught the purpose behind every experiment. During my down time, I was allowed to shadow other PhD students or graduate students and learn more about their project they were working on. From this experience, I was able to learn more about biochemical engineering, protein engineering, and fundamental lab techniques that would help me later on.
