What I liked

What I enjoyed the most is that the inside sales organization treated interns as full-time SDRs and although we did not have a quota, we were able to function in our own independent roles and work alongside AEs.

What I wish was different

I would have loved to have been in person but at the time we had to do internships virtually!

Advice

Ask as many questions as possible - the tech is a bit confusing so once you are able to truly understand how Nutanix's solutions are able to help the people you are prospecting it makes the conversations a lot easier. Also know your AEs well! The more you are able to work together and draw up strategies the happier they will be knowing they have a SDR creating opportunities and the happier you will be knowing you're reaching out to good leads.

What I liked

The company culture was amazing. It felt like I was working at a company like Apple or Google. Everyone was so open to talk to and willing to help out in any way they could.

What I wish was different

I wish it had been in person instead of remote. Either way, they did a great job with onboarding the interns and still making us feel like part of the team.

Advice

Hit the ground running! Don’t be afraid to start cold calling.

What I liked

I liked the company culture, the office, office location, the job itself and the benefits. There was food catered every day and you could order waiter.com for the non-catered days (Tuesday and Thursday). There was a fun break room and the people at the office were very friendly. The job itself was challenging but encouraging.

To work hard and make connections during your internship. If you would like to return or be in the gracious of the company be well-versed in the workplace.

Advice

You’ll learn more in an internship like this than anything you could learn in the classroom. Definitely make it a point to do an internship or two before you graduate, even during the school year.
