The NuScale small modular reactor (SMR) offers a scalable power plant solution incorporating enhanced safety, improved affordability, and extended flexibility for diverse electrical and process heat applications. NuScale's scalable design offers the benefits of carbon-free energy and reduces the financial commitments associated with gigawatt-sized nuclear facilities.
Since being founded in 2007, NuScale has made significant progress towards commercializing America’s first SMR. This wouldn’t have been possible without our partners, including our majority investor Fluor Corporation, a global engineering, procurement, and construction company, and the U.S. Department of Energy.
