The employees were very nice and helpful. They genuinely wanted you to succeed and you learn a lot.
What I wish was different
Since I am a marketing major, being thrown into the financial realm was slightly difficult and I ended up finding out that it was not the career path for me. However, it was still a good experience.
Advice
Make sure you really like finance and are willing to put a lot of time into the internship.

You need to be self motivated to be successful in this internship (although there is plenty motivation from your mentors and co-workers). You need that self motivation to encourage yourself to reach those daily, weekly, monthly goals.

August 2020 • Grand Rapids, MI
What I liked
I really enjoyed working with the full-time advisors and learning from them first hand. We got to learn how to prospect with clients and also how different types of meeting went. I also enjoyed getting to sit in on meeting with higher up professionals, it shows you how people who have been doing this a long time work in their practice.
What I wish was different
I wish there were more learning opportunities and less on your own work. It can be hard to know what to do in situations and not a lot of guidance.
Advice
Go into it and be ready to get outside of your comfort zone. You will learn a lot if you are open to the experience and just go for everything and really hustle.
