Mission Statement
• Provide state-of-the-art, laboratory-based education in molecular biotechnology to NC State undergraduate and graduate students as well as to faculty, staff, and life science professionals in the RTP area
• Lead, coordinate and/or support externally funded, campus-wide graduate student training programs related to molecular biotechnology
• Catalyze and support molecular biotechnology-based educational efforts at NC State that complement BIT offerings (e.g., Bioprocessing, BTEC, CVM Translational Medicine)
• Support and inspire K-12, community college, undergraduate and graduate biotechnology education efforts in NC (and beyond)
• Provide opportunities for early-career life science/engineering professionals to develop instructional skills related to lab-based molecular biotechnology education
