Summer Camp Counselor
May - August 2019 • Braintree, MA
What I liked
It was a great community of college students and by the end of the summer everyone became friends. Super fun and relaxed work days although being a counselor to little kids was sometimes a hassle.
What I wish was different
I wish the conditions I worked in were cleaner but I do understand that working outside (rain or shine) will get dirty.
Advice
You have to be good with people. Not just your fellow workers but also with adults as many people high up in the Sheriff's Office are always on the work site watching and making sure you are doing your job to the the best of your ability. And you also have to be comfortable with ropes and being able to belay a kid 40 feet up in the air (as it is a ropes summer camp).

Intern
June 2018 - August 2019 • Braintree, MA
What I liked
How I got to interact with children of different ages and teach them leadership skills
What I wish was different
That I got to work with the same children longer than just 1 week
Advice
To show the children respect because you will get it back but to be a role model
