I liked seeing people from my old high school and getting to model the year's marching music.
What I wish was different
It was not super official, I was just dropping in to help out a little. If I had reached out in advance I think I could have had a legitimate role in things.
Advice
Talk to people you know. It's a great way to find experiences.
