I enjoyed the freedom that was allowed on projects. A lot of companies will hover and micro manage an intern but that did not happen here. Projects were assigned to me and then if I asked for help it was given but I was allowed full freedom in how it was designed and completed.
What I wish was different
Feedback at the end of the summer. I did an end of summer presentation to the executive board but then no feedback was given on my performance that I could learn from.
Advice
Get to know the other engineers you work with. They have a lot of experiences and advice that I have already used in the real world and other places.
