The internship was catered to students. There were lots of events to help interns learn life skills, not only relating to the job itself but to teach us about graduate school, career journeys, presentation skills, etc. It was also great to work in a place with such renowned scientists and other professionals in the field.
What I wish was different
Advice
Make sure the position you take on is something that is at least relatively interesting to you. You will be working on a very specific project all summer, so it will be hard to stay motivated if the topic isn't interesting.
