I loved how well-connected the team was even though we worked remotely! Watching hundreds of films and reading dozens of scripts was a fantastic way to spend the summer and has led me directly to my next internship in Spring 2021. Overall, the NFFTY team is so much fun and offered unique personal connections to filmmaker in a younger age category.
What I wish was different
Obviously, I wish we had the chance to do this internship in person. The connections I formed would have been much stronger with an in-person festival.
Advice
Have fun! Programming is a great opportunity to refine your taste. Watch what you want to watch and look for patterns in what you like.
