I liked having something to do over the summer, and the decent pay. I was also allowed to work over time shifts if I requested to.
What I wish was different
I wish I hadn't been put on some of the more... distasteful tasks. I was paid well for it, but it was not the most enjoyable experience. I also wish the commute had been shorter, but that would differ for each person.
Advice
If you need money, it is fully worth it. This is a well paying temp job, and the mines are good employers.

Metallurgical Engineering Intern
May - August 2018 • Carlin, NV
What I liked
It was very hands on and organized. I got to learn what a Metallurgical Engineer does day-to-day as well as understand the mining industry more.
What I wish was different
I wish I would've been more prepared and knew more about mining before my internship
Advice
Be willing to work hard and try new things that may not be comfortable at first.
