The training and knowledge that the job gave, the office environment, and very positive interactions with employees and supervisors.
What I wish was different
I wish pay were a bit higher, though i understand that higher pay comes with time and/or promotions.
Advice
It gives a much larger and more general perspective of how the state legislature works, but with this perspective comes a lot of learning and diligence required to understand what is happening on a day-to-day basis.

What I liked
-The fast paced environment of the Capitol
-Having the responsibility of writing legislative stories for clients
-Learning about the workings of the New York State Legislature
-Working with other students/employees interested in government/politics
What I wish was different
-I wish I had lived closer to the internship (currently live one hour away)
Advice
This internship is a fantastic way for someone interested in government/politics to get their feet wet and develop their communication, writing and professional skills.
