Advice
Get outside of your comfort zone and help the other departments. Also don't commute from Stamford Connecticut everyday.

What I liked
It gives you an opportunity to work in a fast-paced festival setting in the middle of Manhattan Theater District. There are a lot of opportunities to be in charge of many projects regarding the festival operation and learn how the industry works. Also, NYMF offers weekly intern seminar which you meet industry professionals (directors, casting director, producer, etc) and network with them! You will be able to collaborate with other interns and have opportunities to learn other theater jobs such as ticketing.
