I liked the amount of control and responsibilities I was given. I was entrusted with a large amount of responsibility with overseeing a team and running a dining outlet. I was able to grow tremendously through this program.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to rotate more through different departments. All of the interns got comfortable in their roles and due to the skill level needed to operate well by the end of the summer, we didn't have the ability to jump into a new operation.
Advice
I would suggest going into the experience open-minded. It's easy to go into an internship with expectations but very rarely will it live up to those expectations. It's easy to get disappointed that you didn't get what you hoped, instead of looking at all the opportunities you did have.
