I love New Life Ranch. They are a christian organization that values their employees and strives for a good work environment. Although they pay is not the best I was able to see God work in amazing ways. I enjoyed the people I worked with and getting to see kids have a fun time at camp.
What I wish was different
I wish they pay was a bit better but I understand that it is not really an option since they are a nonprofit organization
Advice
I would 100% recommend this job to anyone interested in kids and horses. It is a really fun environment and I learned so much.

What I liked
I really liked the friendly environment. Working with amazing co-workers really makes the experience worth while. I was also able to be around children whilst teaching them the Gospel.

When I was in the kitchen, we worked long hours. Thankfully, we always had a break halfway through the day.

What I liked
I loved the friendly staff and the ability to connect with others spiritually. I loved being able to open up to others as well as love on all of the children that I came into contact with.

It was kind of chaotic because of it was a new camp. Being able to stay put together and not fall apart behind the scenes
Advice
If you are to work here, you have to LOVE being around people otherwise it could be easy for you to burn out. Being able to stay connected to God throughout the summer is important because he is the only pure source of energy.

Video Production Intern

What I liked
Learning how to manage video production on my own and be able to help tell stories that share the narrative and brand of an organization like New Life Ranch was extremely beneficial. Even though it was not narrative film like I am studying in school, it was still a great experience learning to tell visual stories. Another thing I loved was the community of the place. New Life is filled with people I care for and people who are interested in pouring in to me, both professionally and personally.
