The opportunity to help individuals going through domestic and sexual abuse situations. Also, the ability to create relationships with clients and be the person that they can go to when they have questions or are in crisis.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more time with Rosanne, with who I was placed with. She is a great advocate and I learned a lot from here with the short amount of time I was with her. She accepted a position elsewhere during my internship, and that is when I was offered an LTE position.
Advice
You never know how much you can help someone, so look up those community resources and donate to them, they are the businesses that are changing your cities and making a difference in the communities you live in.
