Founded in 1991, New Ground provides social work and education services to help Long Island Veterans and families break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Comprehensive services consist of employment counseling, financial literacy, life skills development including parenting and household maintenance, educational tutoring, reading assistance, education advocacy, tuition assistance, and more.
Since opening our doors, over 84% of New Ground clients have graduated from our program into permanent stable housing accomplishing most or all of their outlined goals. New Ground empowers children, parents and Veterans to achieve their goals so they can secure a brighter future – now and for generations to come.
