The Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane had a very relaxed work environment, and I gained a lot of confidence that I could do the work of engineering. I came away with a job offer for a student trainee position.
What I wish was different
The internship agency provided no support in finding housing. The base university liaison got us dorm rooms at Indiana University Bloomington through July, but I had to get an AirBnB for the last three weeks.
Advice
Getting your CAC badge for base entrance and computer access can be a lengthy process. It took three weeks for me.
