Teen Work Crew Lead

What I liked

I loved leading the groups of teens around completing manual labor jobs. I enjoyed being outdoors. I enjoyed working with my hands. I enjoyed getting to know the people I worked with through the summer.

What I wish was different

I wish I had more experience completing small construction jobs so that I could have directed the teens with more confidence and efficiency.

Advice

At first, when you are seemingly thrown into a leadership position, it seems overwhelming and impossible. Persevere, you can do it if you set your mind to it. Always ask experienced leaders for help and advice when you could use it.
