About MSU H-Net: Humanities and Social Sciences Online

H-Net is an academic non-profit organization housed in the Old Horticulture building on the north side of MSU's campus. We build and maintain nearly two hundred digital scholarly networks that allow more than 200,000 scholars in the humanities and social sciences worldwide to collaborate with each other. In addition to supporting our networks, the H-Net organization provides academic job postings, online scholarly book reviews, podcasts, a new book discovery service, and academic announcements.

[MSU Equal Employment Opportunity Statement] All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability or protected veteran status.

“H-Net wants employees to get the most out of their experience working there and using their talents to help out the organization. If you have an idea, they are happy to listen and help you improve your resume with the experience. They also know we are students first and are very flexible working around class/exam schedules. The staff was relaxed and really close; we had Chipotle Fridays, coffee runs, Jackbox parties during COVID and always ended each semester with a work party to reward staffers. I had a lot of fun working there and would definitely recommend as an on-campus job!”
