The culture at Merchants Bonding, especially in the IT department, is very focused on teamwork, communication, and feedback. I felt supported and encouraged throughout my time working with the web development team. I worked on purposeful projects and my contributions to the applications were valuable. I never felt like I was just doing the grunt work.
What I wish was different
One thing I wish would've been slightly different was the length of the internship. I still had a few weeks of summer left but the internship program was over. It could be tailored more toward the schedules of the interns to give them the most out of the time they have.
Advice
Go in with a sense of curiosity, be ready to learn a lot in the first few weeks. Be adaptable, and take on any projects with an open mind.
