What I liked

I love the flexibility with my school schedule and the great customers.

What I wish was different

I would love to see more enthusiasm towards guests. Create more of a “personal bond” I would like to see employees like myself to ask, “How’s your day going?” It really makes a difference in the attitude customers give you and may even make their day better.

Advice

Just make sure to keep up and you will do great!

What I liked

I enjoyed the people I worked with and the customers I would come across from time to time. I learn a lot during my interactions with the many people I came across.

What I wish was different

I wish we had better working conditions. The job was very demanding especially since we were always deficient on something (i.e. ice cream machine was always broken, A/C would break down over the summer).

Advice

McDonald’s is enjoyable as a starter job! I learned so much for it being my first job. I definitely learned a lot about customer service and understood the workings of a fast-food restaurant, I definitely have a lot more respect for people who work in the food industry.

What I liked

The work was near school. Was able to work among others that were my age and going to the same university.

What I wish was different

I wish could have been hired as part of the tech department.

Advice

It is a very fast paced work place. A lot to deal with customer service even if you are working in the back flipping burgers. You must lean to share a smile even with the coworkers to help yourself and others to get through your hours.
