What I liked

I enjoyed receiving an insight into entrepreneurship working alongside professionals who are passionate about healthcare innovation and providing opportunities for start-ups to scale up and provide crucial health services to thousands of people.

What I wish was different

Having been abroad during the internship, I wish I had been in person in Chicago. While Zoom and Google Meetings were manageable in making my work experience effective, I felt as if the interns that were in-person had a much more exciting experience. They had direct access to professionals in the MATTER workspace and connect with other co-workers on a much more personal level.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share is to take in as much as possible from your experience. There are opportunities all around you that can help you grow in your workspace. It takes a certain level of confidence and comfort to reach out to people but doing so in an effective manner might become the most rewarding part of your entire internship process. It will help you get a greater insight into who you are and where your interests lie.
