Math tutor

August 2016 • Winfield, IL

What I liked

The company has a great program that is very structured, organized, and logical, and seems to help students very much. I also really enjoyed my coworkers. They were all so helpful and kind. The students were very fun to work with as well.

What I wish was different

The management went through a lot of changes this past summer which caused confusion but it is stable now.

Advice

Try to find a good balance between having fun with the students but also getting their work done.

Algebra Tutor

September 2013 • Utica, MI

What I liked

Working and engaging with children is rewarding and enjoyable. I learned many teaching strategies from my bosses; who were educators in the past.

What I wish was different

I work with multiple students at a time. Usually, they are at different ages and grade levels. This makes it difficult to maximize each student's leaning time.

Advice

Be organized and aware of your responsibilities. There is always something that needs to be done. Be proactive in finding ways to accomplish tasks.
