ETX Intern

June - August 2020 • Springfield, MA

What I liked

MassMutual truly ensures that their interns are taken care of by gifting them network opportunities, step-by-step training for your position, and an environment that conducts the learning and understanding of their business practices.

What I wish was different

As a member of the Enterprise, Technology & Experience (ETX) group, most of the networking opportunities were with other employees in that same field. Although this is very helpful, and you do have the ability to ask you intern coordinator for more information on other areas in the company, I would have enjoyed speaking to more people throughout the company that were outside my field of study.

Advice

MassMutual takes great pride in their culture and core competencies. Before interviewing, it would be a great idea to research their values and mission to ensure that your values align and bring up this information during the actual interview.

Recruiting Associate

June - August 2018 • Salt Lake City, UT

What I liked

I loved how I was incorporated into the office and actually produced something being used by the entire company.

What I wish was different

My first week I spent cold calling on Monster.com, which was pointless.

Advice

Try to get an internship as soon as possible.
