Even though the Internship was remote due to COVID-19, It was an incredible experience! Very well organized and countless opportunities to really add value and learn. The company culture is amazing!
What I wish was different
Wish the internship had been remote, but that was only due to COVID-19. The internship has since returned to being in-person.
Advice
During the internship, I decided that becoming an actuary was not the career path I wanted to pursue. Everyone at MassMutual that I worked with was super supportive and even helped me discover other opportunities at MassMutual! I ended up coming back full time as a Quantitative Consultant and I absolutely love it! MassMutual is a wonderful place to try out new things and discover your passions.

Always try to find ways to promote yourself as an intern and show interest in the company beyond the work you are assigned.

What I liked
I liked the atmosphere though it was a hybrid program. We had to go online via zoom for most of it due to the pandemic.
What I wish was different
I wish the pandemic did not happen so I would’ve been able to sit in meetings at the office. See how things run on a day-to-day basis.
Advice
If you are an outgoing person and enjoy networking/ making lots of phone calls this is potentially a career for you.
