Maryland Department of Juvenile Services

Juvenile Probation Officer

June - August 2019 • Annapolis, MD

What I liked

I enjoyed writing up court documents such as social history, court memos, transfer request , etc. I also enjoyed reading the files about different juveniles and things they were being adjudication for. The intake process was also something I like. It allowed me to understand the process of how juveniles are put into the system

What I wish was different

I wish the internship was paid and had spent more time at the court house.

Advice

Be open minded and take all you can from the experience because you may be able to use it with future career.
