I liked that it was an independent learning experience. I did all of the hands-on design work and brought my designs to a committee. I enjoyed working directly with my clients and supervisors and learning how to professionally and clearly communicate.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have worked under a professional interior designer to get the full experience of the design process. I wish the pandemic didn't restrain the project so it could move quicker, but in the end the building will look just as good.
Advice
My piece of advice is to take a new opportunity because you never know where it will lead you to. Because of this project, I have a real life portfolio piece that will become a focal point of a small town.
