Everyone was very friendly and helpful. There was a lot of autonomy and I was able to go outside and into the field a lot. I was able to learn a lot of new stuff.
What I wish was different
I didn't like interfacing with the public, especially since I didn't know too much so usually had to pass the call along.
Advice
Learn as much as you can and always ask questions, but show initiative.

What I liked
Really good people in the parks department. Very welcoming and ready to help us learn what to do.
What I wish was different
I wish it wouldn't have been so hot and my time spent with some of the other seasonals could have been limited to break times, if at all.
Advice
Learn when you can get away with shorts, then wear shorts and pack a pair of pants every day.
