The office environment was really friendly and welcoming, and they were open to help me focus and gain more experience on the area of publishing I'm interested in. I got to read amazing books and edit manuscripts and books on submission, as well as helping with the agency's social media and rights guide. In addition, they connected me with other people from the industry, and referred me to my current internship.
What I wish was different
Advice
Be open about what kind of experience you want to have in the internship, and what kind of department you're interested in working. And don't forget to ask feedback on your work and show enthusiasm for the projects you get, even if they look challenging.
