Landscape Forms allows its interns to work as another SC buyer on the team. As a Studio 431 purchasing intern I was fully responsible for each job I was assigned from start to finish. The culture is amazing and they offer great part time benefits!
What I wish was different
I wish interns were included in strategic meetings so that we could experience what SC analysts talk about and to offer any ideas. I also wish placing purchase orders were less tedious (this is due to the ancient ERP system used).
Advice
Be yourself and ask questions! The ERP system is old and confusing so to save yourself from doing more work that doesnt add value - ask the questions.

Project Engineering Intern
January 2018 • Kalamazoo, MI
What I liked
I like the people and the environment, everyone is very willing to help and there is always something for me to do. I've already learned a lot and am continuing to learn.
What I wish was different
I wish Western would have taught solidworks, because that's the program used here and I didn't know it coming into the position but every helped me pick it up quick. I also wish I would have been given some background knowledge about the manufacturing processes most often used here.
Advice
Always keep looking for internships no matter what year in school you are. Its a great way to apply what you learn in school to real life experiences and a great way to enhance your education while getting paid.
