Environmental Communications Intern and Camp Counselor
July - August 2018 • Damariscotta, ME
What I liked
I liked interviewing people who worked to promote the health and conservation of Damariscotta Lake, such as employees of the Midcoast Conservancy, and using these interviews and other knowledge to write an article about KWE Damariscotta Lake protection efforts.
What I wish was different
I wish my experience had been more focused on the internship and spreading environmental communication and awareness about Kieve-Wavus education's lake protection, but instead being a camp counselor for nine year old girls took up almost all of my time. It was very difficult to balance these two time-consuming roles and do both well.

Wilderness Trip Leader
May - August 2018 • Jefferson, ME
What I liked
I loved being in the outdoors and teaching my campers how to exist sustainably with nature. I enjoyed learning to go with the flow as there were many aspects of the trip that I led that was out of my control (weather).
