Kick It California, formerly known as California Smokers' Helpline, is part of the UCSD Moore's Cancer Center and offers free evidence-based telephone coaching to help people quit using tobacco.
Kick It California offers service in six languages: English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and Vietnamese. In addition, Kick It California conducts research in tobacco control through grant funding (NCI, CDC, CMS, TRDRP and others). At any given time, research projects are being developed, implemented, written-up and published.
Kick It California is also responsible for evaluating the Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) program and providing a restorative justice alternative to suspension program for students found using tobacco and/or cannabis at school.
