Friendly atmosphere, nurturing mentor, great entry level experience. I got all of the experience I needed, and a good feel for the responsibilities of a teacher without all of the pressure about screwing up teenager's lives.
What I wish was different
I wish it had been a paid internship haha! I've basically been doing the work of a full time teacher (as much as 75 hours a week), and it is really hard to then work a part time job on the weekend for pennies. I feel like I don't have anything to show for all of my hard work.
Advice
If you demonstrate a good work ethic and take initiative, this is a great springboard to make connections who will use their connections to help you get a job.
