I love that it was a small office, with only five other women working with me daily in New York (the company has about 13 people total). There are three offices, one in New York, another Palm Beach, FL, and the third Boston MA. I appreciated that I had the opportunity to become close with all individuals from every office (even if I didn't interact with them in person). I got a lot of real-world experience, such as being able to review professional resumes, find candidates for high-level real estate positions, and sit in on client phone calls and in-person interviews.
What I wish was different
I personally wish I had the chance to work with other interns, rather than just myself. Sometimes I was given tasks that were on the difficult side, and I struggled to find someone in the office to bounce my ideas of off that wasn't constantly busy. Plus, I would have appreciated someone else in the office to help me creatively problem solve on a more regular basis.
Advice
Timing is everything. When it comes to scheduling and planning, every minute is crucial. Plus, how you present yourself via phone or in-person can make or break whether or not the recruiter will choose to present you to a client, regardless of your qualifications.
