JustLearn has developed PlanetBox, an educational aquaponics ecosystem that engages students with hands-on, project-based learning activities right inside classrooms and homes, and has grown to serve over 25,000 students in less than two years. PlanetBox is a compact, fun and interactive microcosm that exhibits fundamental ingredients and cycles of life and of our planet such as the role of the nitrogen, carbon, water and oxygen cycles as well as representing some of the fastest-growing fields of agriculture and food production.
Along with curriculum modules, an app, and instructional resources, JustLearn is developing a platform that scales environmental science and engineering pedagogy with a mission of equipping the upcoming generation with tools and solutions to address climate change, habitat and biodiversity loss, and the greater environmental crisis
