Advice
I would advise anyone in an internship to be willing to give their advisor feedback on the experience and to set aside time to speak with people within the organization to see what they look for when they are looking to promote a person. While the intern may not want to stay with the company, I believe, it shows that they care about the position. Also, the information learned from those discussions can be valuable insight into upward mobility within an organization.
