Nanny

July 2020 • San Antonio, TX

What I liked

Social Media Intern

May - August 2019 • Cincinnati, OH

What I liked

I really enjoyed having my own office space and getting to work hands-on with the community. I was able to volunteer at a couple of fundraising events and visit college campuses.

What I wish was different

Advice

Do not expect a lot of experience outside of the recruiting/social media side of things from this position. I do not feel like I gained valuable analytical experience from this job.

Nanny

January 2019 • Glen Allen, VA

What I liked

I like that I create my own schedule.

What I wish was different

I wish that gas was included, since we drive a lot to the places we nanny. I also wish we got paid more since watching children is a lot of work and a big responsibility.

Advice

Keep the kids safe and allow them to have fun while honoring the parent's rules.

Nanny

October 2018 • Nichols Hills, OK

What I liked

Taking the kiddos fun places, doing crafts, watching them learn, grow, and have fun. I watch three kiddos ages 4, 5, and 8 and the 4 yr old is autistic and has a secondary sensory processing disorder. I have also worked consistently in the past with two other families both with special needs children as well. Other nannies are super fun to work with on large events such as church shifts or ballets. Also, we have nanny meetups which are super fun.. Lindsay the manager is so amazing, i just love her! There are a few offices in the U.S. not just in Edmond, so check CNST out you won't regret it.

What I wish was different

Advice

If you do not love children do not work this job. It is a lot to handle at times with three kids and sometimes there is a lot to do at once. You have to be patient with the littles, but also have to have control because you are their superior while you are there. It can be a balancing act.

Nanny

May 2019 • Carmel, IN

What I liked

I love how flexible the hours can be. If you are a nanny you have a set schedule but if you are a sitter you make your own schedule for the week. I also loved my family I was placed with this summer so much and they loved me that they invited me back to be their nanny this summer!

What I wish was different

Honestly I wouldn’t have changed anything about this past family. I had a family the summer before that I didn’t really click with their kiddos but college nannies and tutors understood that and placed me with another family the next summer that fit me so much better!

Advice

If you loved kids this is the best job for you! You get to take the kids to the park, the pool, on bike rides, and so much more! I loved this job because I was able to still enjoy my summer while making some extra money.

Nanny

May - August 2019 • Columbus, OH

What I liked

I LOVED working with the kids this summer and am thankful to CNT for connecting me to this family! CNT is highly professional and they work hard to accommodate and assist their employees. I felt as if I had the support I needed from the company, while feeling that I was fully trusted to fulfill my duties as a nanny.

What I wish was different

When I became a nanny with CNT, I was already working with them as a homework help and summer bridge tutor, and I think that I missed out on the training for the childcare side of the company. I never felt that I didn't know how to do my job, but I would have appreciated greater direction and instruction from the get-go.

Advice

Taking care of kids is exhausting, but rewarding. I would recommend recording hours and activities in your own personal records that is easily accessible so you can best serve the kiddos you're with.
