I enjoyed the valuable real-life experiences provided on a daily basis as well as the responsibilities entrusted to me. The Intern Events cover a great majority of their scopes of work, and provide a vast amount of knowledge.

Engineering Intern
June - September 2022 • Santa Clara, CA
What I liked
Good amount of responsibility and workload. Project team was always willing to help. Good pay in comparison to my other internships. As a subcontractor, J.J. Albanese also works on smaller projects and you're able to be more involved in those projects.
What I wish was different
I had a good experience but didn't gain as much field experience as I thought. Though, this could vary with projects and project teams.
Advice
Hours can be long in project management but that is typical in construction. Always ask questions, especially in the field as it helps you understand the overall construction process.

What I liked
Field visits of construction sites were very helpful in understanding the construction project management process. My internship with JJ Albanese had plenty of opportunities to get that type of experience.
