Engineering Intern

June - September 2022 • Santa Clara, CA

What I liked

Good amount of responsibility and workload. Project team was always willing to help. Good pay in comparison to my other internships. As a subcontractor, J.J. Albanese also works on smaller projects and you're able to be more involved in those projects.

What I wish was different

I had a good experience but didn't gain as much field experience as I thought. Though, this could vary with projects and project teams.

Advice

Hours can be long in project management but that is typical in construction. Always ask questions, especially in the field as it helps you understand the overall construction process.
