I loved the people I got to work with and how many different things I was able to do! I worked as a journalist and also worked on the radio program for Joni and Friends.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to do the internship in person, but unfortunately Covid-19 did not allow that to happen.
Advice
I would wholeheartedly recommend this internship or any internship with Joni and Friends! My bosses were awesome and adjusted to my working pace well. When I finished things early they gave me more to do and I had a wide range of projects to work on.

What I liked
I had the opportunity to help children and young adults that have specials needs. As I continue to pursue speech pathology, I believe this internship gave me more confidence as I work with people that have disabilities in the future.
What I wish was different
I was placed on a team with six other people. I wish there could have been more ways to connect with them before the trip. Everyone was great and it would have been fun getting to know each other more before diving into ministry together.
Advice
This trip was absolutely amazing. If you are thinking of going, be sure you go in with a flexible mind set and be willing to help out wherever you can.
