My co-workers.
What I wish was different
Less frequency in being messaged by management to cover shifts.
Advice
Hustling during work will give you an edge over other drivers. Make sure to hustle in the store only. Some drivers speed on deliveries, which is something you should not do.

Driver
May - August 2018 • Solon, OH
What I liked
I definitely enjoyed the customer service aspect, as I was often responsible for delivering food and lunch for large corporate events that relied on my timeliness and quality. As a whole I can say I enjoy meeting expectations and satisfying the customers I applied service to.
What I wish was different
At times I wished I could've logistically optimized my working hours and been more efficient in delivery routes and maximizing the tips/profit I could've made. Also sometimes there well lulls in service where I didn't have many experiences, essentially I wish the job had more business and rigor about it.
Advice
For me I enjoyed being here as it allowed me to experience retail from a direct customer service point of view. I ended up building relationships with repeat customers over time and felt that I represented the brand ideals very well. I always tried to bring a sense of professionalism and present myself as I would in any other professional business setting. My advice would be to take the position seriously and to associate with customers and coworkers. I found that I would often interact with over 75-100 unique customers daily, and over time I developed a better understanding of how to serve and interact with them in a way that mutually benefitted both the consumer, the Jimmy John's brand, and myself as a worker.
