I enjoyed the projects I got to work on. Every project I was involved with had real impacts on the company. The people I got to work with made the experience enjoyable and I felt that I learned a lot.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have gotten to know the other interns earlier in the summer.
Advice
Work hard and show initiative and you will be given more responsibilities and work on more exciting projects.

What I liked
J.W. has a phenomenal culture and do a really good job of integrating you into the team and getting you up to speed. Because the company is "smaller" it is easy to get to know everyone and it made my role more dynamic.
What I wish was different
Structure wise it is a very flat organization so it can be tough to know where to go for information so maybe an organizational chart to understand the team more. Also a more defined product development process, but I know they are revamping this currently.
Advice
Ask ask ask questions to understand why certain things are happening. It's on us to make sure we are learning and taking advantage of the opportunity. Also don't be afraid to try new things and get your hands dirty. Getting out of my comfort zone was one of the best things I did.

Advice
Definitely open yourself up to work in an environment you wouldn't think you'd enjoy. I never thought I'd like being in manufacturing at a lighting company and I've loved it thus far!
