I love the independence that they gave after assigning a job. They were very focused on making every employee independent and able to problem-solve with minimal help. Additionally, the other employees were very knowledgable and worked hard. They also teach you a lot so that you can know how to do more tasks around the farm.
What I wish was different
Advice
If you want to work at Hubbard Ag, you need to be semi-independent and follow through with tasks. As this is a research company, you need to be detail-oriented and take time to complete details without taking shortcuts. Knowing how to operate lab equipment and large farming equipment (tractors, grain-trucks, etc.) is extremely helpful. Finally, expect a very diverse schedule (early mornings, late nights) and having to work in heat and cold.
