What I liked

It was great to be able to experience in marketing and social media for the organization. I was able to do a lot of graphic design for their social medias, website etc. Additionally, I helped get a store set up with different types of apparel that riders/parents could buy which would support the organization.

What I wish was different

COVID obviously cut the in-person part short so the majority of the internship was virtual. I'd like to have gotten more hands-on experience at the barn and through lessons to be able to interact with different people.

Advice

I wasn't sure I wanted an internship during the school year so I wasn't going to apply at all. I'm really happy that I did because I to go work and share my passion of horses with others as well as do a lot of graphic design for the organization which I loved doing. If you're not sure whether you should apply or not to a job/internship, there's no hurt in applying and you might find something new you love through that experience.
