What I liked

I liked the structure of the Hobsons summer internship program. It was well rounded with having a mentorship aspect, service opportunity, and a project to work on throughout the internship. Hobsons really cares for their interns and have professional development opportunities just for the interns. It was a paid internship and overall a very friendly work environment. Overall, had a great experience there for the summer and learned a lot throughout my summer.

What I wish was different

I wish that travel expenses would have been covered by Hobsons. The internship was in Arlington and I commuted every day. Yet, Hobsons was flexible about the hours I could come in to reach my 35 hours per week.

Advice

My piece of advice is to take the opportunity to get to know people in the department you are working in, but also get to know other employees in different departments. It helped me to learn about how the business works as a whole. Overall, put yourself out there and have a good attitude.
