What I liked
I liked being able to learn a lot about how hospitals work and the different roles health care providers play. I also liked interacting with patients.
What I wish was different
I wish I had spent more time shadowing physicians.
Advice
The experience is what you make of it. If you put in the effort and ask questions, you will get more out of the experience.

What I liked
I like how flexible the schedule is; it is up to you what track you want to pursue, how many shifts you do/when to shift each month, etc.
What I wish was different
I wish the application process wasn't so tedious. I also wish they had more hospital sites open in areas other than OC, like San Diego.
Advice
Network as much as you can; you will meet a wide variety of healthcare staff each shift and it is up to you to ask questions about their roles.
